Bristol Blades North is a new fencing club opening up in Chipping Sodbury. We opened the club mid 2021 with the aim to both provide fencing opportunity to those outside of the centre of Bristol, and to engage the community to introduce more people to the sport and support them through to local and regional competition.

To open the club we received funding from England Fencing towards the end of 2020, to help drive and support new, local members. We are extremely grateful for this funding which has allowed us to purchase new equipment for adult fencers, and to subsidise our new initial junior and senior beginners courses.

At Bristol Blades North, we cater for all abilities, from those starting on beginners courses to senior GB squad members. We people to join a beginners course if they want to learn to fence.

The club meets on a Thursday evening 7pm – 8.15pm for Juniors (age 15 and under) followed by Seniors (age 16 plus) 8.15pm – 10.00pm.
