School Sessions

Our coaching staff spend most of their week delivering lunch time and after school Fencing Clubs, at both secondary and primary schools. Our experienced coaches have all coached a variety of ages and ability levels and are able to approach sport sessions in a holistic way, developing skills through active games and skill learning.

Due to the nature of the sport, fencing enables children and young people to learn a range of important physical and mental skills. While developing balance, leg strength, coordination and speed skills, fencing allows the opportunity to develop discipline, problem solving skills, independence and teamwork.

We run sessions at a range of schools in Bristol including; Begbrook Primary, Kingsweston School, Bristol Free School, Bristol Grammar School, St Marys Primary School, Hambrook Primary, St Ursulas Academy, Clifton College, St Johns CofE and RedMaids School.

Bristol Blades and its coaches are all Members of British Fencing, and as such are insured and follow BF Code of Conduct.

If you would like more information, or would like us to run taster sessions or a club at your school, please get in touch here.
